Canada's largest province issues its driver's licences through ServiceOntario under the Ministry of Transportation. The current card design is the one issued in the last several years: a multi-layer polycarbonate-style plastic, a primary photo on the left, a ghost photo on the right, the MoT signature hologram positioned over the right edge of the primary photo, and an ON wordmark across the top edge. Does the card match the current ServiceOntario design?
Yes. We model our card on the design ServiceOntario has been issuing for the last several years, with the ghost photo on the right, the MoT hologram positioned over the right edge of the primary photo, and the laser-engraved data fields. We do not reproduce the older teal-and-blue design that you may have seen on novelty cards a decade ago.
Will the PDF417 barcode scan?
Yes. The PDF417 barcode on the back is encoded in the AAMVA D20 format used across North America, so a Canadian or US ID scanner returns the same name, date of birth, address, height, eye colour, licence number, and issue and expiration dates printed on the front.
Is it shipped to Canadian addresses?
Yes. We ship to Ontario and the rest of Canada as well as international addresses. All shipments are sent in plain, unbranded packaging with nothing on the outside indicating the contents. Standard delivery is approximately 20 business days; Priority is 10 to 14 business days.
Will my information be kept private?
Yes. Customer data is encrypted in transit and we delete personal information from our systems once the order is fulfilled. We do not retain customer photos or details past the production phase.
What if there is a problem with the card I receive?
A digital proof is sent for your approval before we print, which gives you a chance to verify every detail. If a card with a production error still slips through, we replace it under our duplicate-card guarantee. Contact our support with clear photos of the issue.
